Welcome to Getting to Know You, a segment where our CSP team members share a little bit about themselves through a series of rapid fire questions.
Kelly Feeney, Realtor and Broker, recently joined the CSP team. As a new realtor, Kelly looks forward to using her sales experience, determination, engaging personality, attention to detail, and knowledge of real estate and interior design to help you find your dream home.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received? To have patience and be persistent!
Name a book you read that positively shaped you. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I must have read that book in and out of school a thousand times! It’s still one of my favorites today.
If you could have any three people (dead or alive) over for dinner, who would they be? Patrick Swayze (nobody puts Baby in a corner), Heath Ledger, and Elvis Presley. I was raised listening to The King of Rock and Roll, my mother was - and still is - a huge Elvis fan.
If you had one superpower, what would it be? Why? Telepathy! I would love to be able to read what's on someone's mind.
What is your favorite summer activity? Swimming. I can spend all day swimming with my kids.
Do you have any hobbies? What are they? Crafting! I love to use my Cricut machine and make all different types of vinyl stickers and acid etched wine glasses.
What are your best habits? Manners and gratitude. And good old southern hospitality!
If you could travel back in time, what period would you go to? The Roaring 20’s.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned from a failure? I don’t believe in failure. The only failure is the one you didn’t try!
What is a talent that you have that would surprise people? My patience in itself is a talent. I have four small children and I have developed the patience of a saint!
If you had a warning label, what would yours say? It would say, “Don't mistake her kindness for Weakness.”
When are you most inspired? Right before bed! I always seem to think about and plan the day ahead right before bed or I remember something I forgot to do that day right before I lay down.
What is something you wish you could be good at? Tennis! I have never been good at tennis.
What’s your guilty pleasure? Chicken wings - I can never turn down chicken wings.
What do you do to relax? I read. I read to my kids, I also make sure that they read. There is nothing in life you cannot learn from a book. While the internet and tablets are very useful, they will never be better than the original.
How do you manage stress? I just deal with it. Life is full of stress I learned you can't run from it so it's better to just face it head on. But I do enjoy working out or walking when I need a break.
What song would you say best sums you up? “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.
What makes you laugh the most? My fiance! That’s what attracted me to him the most and still does today.
What’s your favorite movie ever? Too many to list!! I love what I consider classic movies. I don't believe they make movies today as good as they used to. But if I had to pick a favorite, it would either be “It's a Wonderful Life” or “The Godfather.”
Texting or talking? Both! If I am at home with my kids, I prefer texting because you wouldn't hear me otherwise but talking is the most efficient way to communicate.
