With place names like Middle Sound, Futch Creek, and Oyster Point, it's easy to understand why so many residents in this area of town are avid watersports enthusiasts! Living in the Community

Several communities are situated along the Intracoastal Waterway while others are located near tidal, saltwater creeks or heavily wooded lots. Although all of the conveniences of city life are just minutes away, much of this part of the county still has a rural feel. In fact, since this part of town is outside of the city limits, there are even a few horse farms around! Most of the newer residential areas boast large lots and built-in amenities such as swimming pools and tennis courts. The former peanut plantation and living history site is home to one of the local spring and summer Farmer's Market and a new dog-friendly walking trail.
