Condos in Wilmington

As the Port City has grown, so have its choices in condominium complexes. Depending on which side of town you're considering, these reasonably carefree residential communities each have their own unique appeal!

Perhaps the largest number of condominium developments lies in the midtown area surrounding UNC-Wilmington. Although many are geared for students, others are quite upscale and feature amenities such as fitness and clubhouse facilities. Those residing around the College Road corridor have access to some of the Port City's best spots for shopping and dining. Another plus-condo living in midtown places you pretty much equidistant between downtown and Wrightsville Beach!

Downtown Condos

Speaking of downtown, it is undergoing a renaissance and is now a choice destination for those who enjoy a taste of city life. Several upscale, multi-story condominium projects have recently been completed. Many have sweeping views of the Cape Fear River or overlook the hustle and bustle of 3rd, Front or Water Street. Such high rise vantage points may lead to the question, "Are we still in southeastern North Carolina?" Imagine walking to work, the theater, funky shops and eateries. How about being able to get in a little exercise or walk Fido while taking in the natural beauty along the 1-mile Riverwalk?

There is also a treasure trove of condominium properties that are nestled into a number of Wilmington's most charming neighborhoods. When you choose the condo life, you're afforded the same benefits as some of the area's preferred addresses, such as Landfall, Porters Neck, MasonboroForest Hills and Pine Valley.

Compared to a traditional single-family home, condo living can save residents time and money. Along with being extremely affordable, condominiums are generally low maintenance and don't require much in the way of yard work. You may need to sweep your deck or patio occasionally or help out on the landscaping committee, but there will definitely be plenty of time for the fun stuff!

Owning a condominium property in a resort/college town like Wilmington presents all sorts of possibilities. When you are ready to move on, it could be a real income producer!
