Tara English (above, left) knows a thing or two about this beautiful town. She has been here 32 years and has been in real estate for over 15 years. Tara is married with two children, and has a deep love for Wilmington, and for her family.

So, what makes Tara tick? Aside from being a beach-lover, a non-profit advocate, a chef and a social butterfly, Tara also loves interior design, travel, and spending time with her family. Her passion for real estate, she says, comes from an innate desire to help people live the life they want.

"Advocating for people and for their dreams just comes naturally to me," she said. And, knowing that she is a part of helping people find their dream home is by far among her favorite feelings.

Tara and her family, together, have recently tackled a couple of big dreams. One, they opened a beignet and coffee shop, Brooklyn Café, on the lovely Northside of Downtown Wilmington. This family-owned spot has, hands down, the best beignets in town, and donuts made from Tara's grandmother's secret recipe. And, two, she and her husband have finally landed in their own dream home on Carolina Beach.

Less than a year ago, Tara realized a dream of her own - starting her own real estate group. In late 2018 she teamed up with Jordyn Rice (above right), an up and coming young realtor. Together, she says, they're working their way toward world domination ;).

Tara says that she has never taken for granted all the gifts we have here in coastal NC. And, that she never wants to stop sharing them with others.
